Last week, our CEO, Chris Tyler, joined the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky in Washington, D.C., for meetings with several Kentucky leaders, including Congressman Andy Barr, Congressman James Comer, Congressman Brett Guthrie, and Senator Mitch McConnell.

The visit provided an important opportunity to connect with elected officials and discuss matters impacting the construction industry in Kentucky and beyond.

Over 140 years of commercial heating innovation.

Founded in 1880 as Benjamin F. Kelley & Company, Patterson-Kelley began with feed-water heaters and early tube-bundle heat transfer technology. In 1917, Frank L. Patterson merged with Kelley to form Patterson-Kelley Company Incorporated, setting the foundation for a brand that would become a trusted name in commercial heating.

After World War II, the company expanded into custom-engineered heat exchangers and heat transfer products, then entered the gas-fired commercial boiler market in 1987. Today, Patterson-Kelley continues its legacy from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, designing and assembling high-efficiency commercial boilers, water heaters, and advanced control solutions for buildings around the world.

Geothermal closed-loop systems depend on clean, stable water quality to keep heat transfer efficient and equipment operating reliably. The EasyWater Series C Closed Loop Treatment System is designed to help address three common closed-loop challenges: corrosion from dissolved oxygen, suspended solids and sub-micron metal particles, and insulating deposits like high iron, limescale, and biofilm.

Instead of relying on traditional chemical treatment, Series C provides a low-maintenance, non-chemical approach that removes dissolved oxygen, filters suspended solids to sub-micron levels, and helps prevent and remove insulating deposits inside the loop.

For geothermal HVAC applications, that means cleaner loop water, reduced corrosion potential, improved protection for pumps and heat exchangers, and a stronger foundation for long-term system efficiency. EasyWater’s sub-micron filtration also helps remove fine contaminants that can contribute to wear on pump seals and impellers.

We had a great time hosting our local ASHRAE chapter today for a presentation at our facility!

The focus was on Cooling Tower and Closed Loop Water Treatment, with insights from our BHP experts and National Sales Director, Stirling Boston, from EasyWater. It was a solid session filled with practical takeaways, good conversation, and a lot of shared knowledge.
