About the Role
We’re seeking a dependable and motivated Hardware Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in staying organized, and is committed to providing excellent customer service. A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential.
As a Hardware Associate, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations by assisting customers with tool and equipment rentals, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use. This is a great opportunity to build practical skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do
Customer Service
• Process rental transactions, including check-in and check-out of equipment using our POS system Procom
• Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and professional customer support in person and on the phone to assist customers in selecting appropriate tools, material, and equipment for their projects
• Load and unload equipment for customers as needed. We work outside in all seasons and weather conditions.
Operations
• Restock merchandise and maintain organized displays
• Keep the yard, shop, and store clean, organized, and safe
• Jump in where needed to keep the day moving
• Learn basic operation of rental equipment to be able to assist customers with questions.

What We’re Looking For
• Composure Under Pressure: You stay calm and organized during busy rushes or when handling multiple customer requests at once.
• Physical Stamina: You must be able to lift up to 100 lbs consistently and remain on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Customer Service Experience: You have previous customer service experience and communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
• Computer & Phone Skills: You have previous experience using computers and handling phone calls and are comfortable learning and navigating computer systems.
• Dependability: You are reliable, punctual, and consistently show up ready to work.
• Coachability: You are willing to learn, accept feedback, and take direction.
• Customer-First Mindset: You maintain a positive attitude and professionalism when working with customers and team members.
• Hands-On Capability: You are comfortable working with your hands, tools, and equipment.
• Results-Oriented: You have a strong work ethic and take responsibility for getting things done.
