This is a Custom 2000A Busduct - Cable Tap Box. A tie-in piece that replaces a 10ft section of existing bus duct to allow for cable terminations, taking into consideration cable bending requirements and space limitations of the location it’s to be installed.

The story behind it:
A customer needed to splice into a run of existing 2000A Busduct. The customer ordered OEM from the factory and were hit with a last-minute, extreme lead time delay. This delay was holding up completion of the building’s electrical system, thus they contacted Andrews Fabrication. Andrews Fabrication sent out an engineer to take field measurements on Monday, 03/30/2026, a review drawing was provided to the customer on 04/01/2026, design discussion took place and the final drawings were approved by the customer on 04/07/2026. After approval, our team was able to fabricate the custom Bus Duct Tap Box within (7) working days, loaded on to the back of the customer’s truck on 04/16/2026 headed to the jobsite.
