We are proud to once again support the Castaways Pizza and Grill's Annual Candy Crawl in Conneaut, Ohio!

H.F. Lenz Company's Conneaut Team not only sponsored the event but also participated in this year's candy crawl. Nearly 70 local businesses came together to give to the community, distributing treats to over 2,000 children and providing activities like a haunted house, inflatable maze, and face painter.

We are excited to contribute to the growth and development of this local tradition!

Christopher has joined our Higher Education team as a Mechanical Designer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and brings experience in design and consulting in commercial construction across a variety of sectors. He also has hands-on experience in commercial construction, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on project delivery. At H.F. Lenz Company, he is looking forward to focusing his skills within a specific sector and growing his career with the company.

Christopher is from Ambler, in Southeast Pennsylvania, and recently relocated to Johnstown. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors.

Congratulations to our own Steve Kormanik, CPD, GPD, ASSE 6060 on his election as Vice President of Legislative Affairs for ASPE! 🎉👏

Steve has been an active member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) for 28 years and has served as Region 2 Director for the past six years, representing the region's 13 Chapters. He is one of the founding charter members of the ASPE Johnstown Chapter and has served multiple terms as its president. At the national level, he has contributed to the Credentialing Committee, the Healthcare Credential Working Group, and the Finance Committee. In his new position, Steve will provide leadership, guidance, and communication to the Legislative Committee, Legislative Council, and the Society Board of Directors. He looks forward to the challenges of the new position and continuing to serve and represent membership on the Society Board of Directors for the next two years.

As an employee of the H.F. Lenz Company, Steve brings decades of experience and dedication to everything he does, and his commitment to the profession extends well beyond committee service. He holds multiple credentials, including ASSE 6060 Medical Gas Designer, Green Plumbing Designer (GPD), and Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD), and he is a former BOCA-certified plumbing inspector and plan examiner.

We are proud of his accomplishments and the value he contributes to our company - congratulations Steve!👏

We are proud to have sponsored the Best Ford Award at the South Fork Volunteer Fire Company's Annual Last Blast II Car Show!

The event featured a basket raffle and a voter-based, Best-in-Show-style contest, which awarded approximately 37 trophies to owners of showcased classic and imported vehicles, rat rods, as well as other cars, trucks, and motorcycles. H.F. Lenz Company's own Joel C. Shumaker placed in the Top 20 and received the Best Shelby Award.

We are thrilled to continue growing our over ten-year long relationship with Heartland Fabrication! They are the second largest barge manufacturer in the country, producing new inland barges for both sale and lease.

Heartland Fabrication is expanding its Pennsylvania shipyard to increase annual hopper barge production capacity to 280 vessels by 2028.

Yesterday, our Johnstown office held their annual fall employee appreciation luncheon, catered by The Chuckwagon ! Everyone enjoyed good food, quality time together, and three flavors of homemade gob cake from our very own Jodi Gindlesperger. We appreciate all of our employees and the hard work they have accomplished so far this year.

We would also like to give a shout-out to our Employee Luncheon commander and chief, Kerri Muha, and her team of volunteers who helped throughout the day, setting up for the luncheon, serving the meal, and cleaning up after. Thank you for helping to keep our office lively and well-fed!

Mikey is currently a Junior at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is joining us for the fall as an intern in the Civil Department, where he looks forward to developing his skills and learning civil design. He is from Nicktown, Pennsylvania, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors in his free time.
