We’re excited to welcome Sophia Iacovino to H.F. Lenz Company this summer!

Sophia is currently a Junior in the 5-year Integrated Bachelor’s/Master’s program at Penn State University studying Architectural Engineering focusing on Structural Engineering. She will be interning with our structural team this summer, and she is looking forward to this new experience and preparing for her future career path by learning more about the structural aspects in different building structures and systems.

Yesterday we kicked off Memorial Day weekend with our Annual Owner’s BBQ!

This year, Skinny’s BBQ catered the event, and as part of our tradition, several of our Principals stepped behind the serving table to serve lunch to our employees. It was a great afternoon filled with delicious food, plenty of laughs, and time spent together as a team. To top it all off, we enjoyed sweet treats from Dairy Queen for dessert!

A big thank you to everyone who helped organize the event and to all who joined us in making it another great tradition!

We’re excited to welcome Grant McClemens to H.F. Lenz Company this summer!

Grant is currently a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, majoring in Electrical Engineering with minors in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. He is the son of one of our Principals, Terry McClemens, P.E., and will be joining our Healthcare Team as an Electrical Intern this summer. Grant is already familiar with the H.F. Lenz Company family and is excited to gain hands-on experience in electrical design. He looks forward to working with AutoCAD and Revit, visiting project sites, and learning more about electrical systems in the field.

Our team had a blast attending the Founders Festival in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, celebrating the newest amenities at Founders Park! The park now offers exciting spaces for kids and adults alike to enjoy, including a new fitness area, yoga deck, children’s playground, splash pad, and many other fun features.

We are proud to have been part of the design team for Founders Park and are excited to see Phase 2 move forward, which will include pickleball courts, turf and natural grass fields, additional parking, and expanded walking trails.

Congratulations to Hempfield Township on a successful festival and the continued development of Founders Park!

We are proud to once again serve as an event sponsor for the 3rd Annual Birthright of Johnstown Purse Bingo! It was a wonderful evening filled with great prizes, beautiful purses, and time spent together outside the office.

We’re excited to welcome Corey Bierer, P.E. to the team at H.F. Lenz Company!

Corey joins our Pittsburgh office as a Mechanical Engineer, bringing more than 11 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and has contributed to projects across a range of industries, including extensive work in the healthcare sector.

In addition to his technical expertise, Corey is an active member of several professional organizations and currently serves as President of the Pittsburgh ASPE Chapter.

Please join us in congratulating Dylan S. Wright, P.E. on passing the Professional Engineering exam and becoming a Licensed Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania!

Dylan joined our Corporate Team in 2021 and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. He has over five years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for both new buildings and building retrofits. His portfolio includes projects for financial institutions, higher education facilities, colocation providers and data centers, as well as commercial and government clients. His responsibilities include coordinating with regulatory agencies, selecting equipment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and reviewing construction documents to ensure quality and accuracy.

Outside of work, Dylan enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, especially hunting and fishing.

As a licensed Mechanical Engineer, Dylan will continue to contribute to the growth of our Corporate Team while strengthening collaboration with clients and project partners.
