Our team had a fantastic time last weekend attending the annual ASPE Region 2 Presidents meeting in Toronto, Canada! This event brings together representatives from each of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers' 13 chapters to network, discuss problems, review the state of the Society, and share highlights from their chapters.

In a true display of the company's and employees' commitment to the industry, H.F. Lenz Company had four representatives in attendance: Steve Kormanik, the Region 2 Director; Mike Finnegan, President of the Johnstown Chapter; and Corey Brier, outgoing President of the Pittsburgh Chapter, and Don Ditter, incoming President of the Pittsburgh Chapter and V.P. of Education.

We would like to express our appreciation to all attendees for their dedication to the Society and representation of the company.
:
"I sincerely appreciate the opportunity and support provided to serve as the Region 2 Director and ASPE Board Member the past 6 years. It has been a rewarding experience that I look forward to continuing in the future." - Steve Kormanik, Region 2 Director.

We are excited to announce that the beneficiary of our 2026 H.F. Lenz Company Charity Golf Outing will be the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Altoona-Johnstown: Food for Families Program! ⛳

Registration is now open to attend the event which will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the beautiful Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa, Old Course.

The Food for Families (FFF) program provides essential food assistance to individuals and families throughout the region. With warehouse locations in Johnstown and Altoona, the program supplies food to 20 local food pantries and community agencies, helping stock shelves with essential grocery items. In turn, these pantries provide thousands of individuals and families with four to five days’ worth of food each month.

In addition to supporting partner agencies, the Society operates five of its own food pantries in Altoona, Hastings, Ebensburg, Johnstown, and Patton. Food is supplied through partnerships with Feeding America, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, local businesses, and area food drives.

The FFF program also operates two community kitchens, located in Altoona and Johnstown, where daily noon meals are available to anyone in need. Together, these kitchens serve nearly 90,000 meals each year, helping provide nourishment and hope to those facing food insecurity.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s mission is to provide spiritual formation for its members while serving those in need regardless of race, color, creed, or national origin.

We are proud to support an organization making a meaningful impact in our communities and look forward to a successful outing benefiting this important cause!

‼ The cut-off date to sign up as a single golfer or a foursome is August 3, 2026 ‼

If you would like more information on registering a foursome, or if you are interested in becoming a sponsor or donating to the event, please contact Laura Bernardo at [email protected] or call 814-269-9322.
