🫯 Happy Thursday!

🫯 Another day, another what are we up to post!

🫯 This ford came in with customer complaint of not wanting to build boost, pushing black smoke. Just lagging on power. Not something anyone wants to deal with to be honest!

🫯 First and foremost, scanning and diagnosing to determine what may be the cause.. that’s where we always like to start just to see what it’s going to hell is before the tear down begins!

🫯 Next step see if the turbo actuator is working as it should, it was STUCK after some TLC it did start to move as it would but did not fix the overall problem. So on to the next thing, which was a turbo itself! We installed a new turbo on this jewel, allowing all the functions and such to open and close as they should. Allowing it to properly build boost, command faster response to throttle position and no more pushing black smoke.

🫯 While it was here we also did a little maintenance, oil change, fuel filter change and check the air filter. Making sure the maintenance is kept up and keeping him going because if you know he’s a busy man!

🏋️‍♂️ Happy Wednesday!

🏋🏼‍♂️ We had this one in for a lifter failure. Customer complaint was checked the oil and it was over-full. Drained it, ran it down the road some and came back and it was over full again… odd! But we said bring it in let’s take a look at what we have.

🏋️ Upon a lengthy tear down and inspection we had found lifter failure and the cam shaft itself was wiped out. Not what anyone wants to hear but it’s definitely a problem that can’t go unresolved.

🏋🏼‍♀️ We replaced all lifters, rocker arms and on the intake side the camshaft itself with a new phaser to boot. Allowing no room for something else on that particular side to have any further issues. Getting it put back together as new again and hopefully no more further problems!

🏋🏼‍♂️ Lifter tick is a known problem, don’t wait for it to get worse because you decide it’s time to take care of it! Waiting can cause more chaos to the camshafts and replacement of more parts down the road. If you have experienced the forbidden lifter tick don’t hesitate to give us a call! 🍭 We had this beautiful Bronco in for some upgrades! It came in completely stock, well you already know it couldn’t leave that way.

🍭 We did a 4” Ready-lift Lift Kit, paired with a 20x10 Fuel Flame and a 37” Mickey Thompson Tire! A killer build if we do say so ourselves. Giving him stance, a much meaner look and all around more curb appeal.

🍭 While it was here we also installed a Bestop Sunrider top for easier ways to just take the top on back and enjoy the sun! We also installed Morimoto headlights and fog lights. His lights are bright for sure and set off the front end just a little more so you can definitely tell him apart.

🙃 Happy Monday x2!! I am back in the office. I am very hard to hear, so I will apologize now. Please just hang in with me. My voice isn’t doing well and I am just trying to hang in here like a hair in a biscuit! I do not feel well but I am not contagious. So no worries!! lol

🙃 Let’s get into some projects we’ve been into lately!! We added some air bags on this Chevy 1500. We get plenty of questions of how do I know if I need air bags? Are they worth the money? Do we suggest them? Short answer if you are towing a lot and noticing a sag in the rear it’s time for them! Yes they are worth the money and yes we suggest them! Two ways you can do a on board air compressor or just two air fittings and you can inflate them with an outside compressor!!

🚧 Good Morning! It’s Monday, if you have called the shop and no one has answered I am out right now. Jeff has me in urgent care.

🚧 PLEASE be patient with the staff there. They don’t hear the phone, I will call you as soon as I get out of here!! I have been sick for almost a week now and no signs of getting better, I’ve maintained until last night and it’s getting worse. So I apologize!!!

🚧 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday Friends!

🚧 If you call in the shop today stay with me if you can. I have little voice and I’m fighting some kind of crud. I may have to leave today to go to the doctor. So I don’t answer please leave a message I can call you back when I return! I’m doing the best I can, I don’t feel to great today.

🚧 Back to our regularly scheduled posts now! You know I like to keep it real with you all, I will always try to do that.

🚧 We had this wrangler in first off for some issues with his ABS kicking on and just causing havoc. We brought it in and after quick diagnostics we realized his clock spring was bad and needed replaced. Replaced that and took care of our first issue! Next as it sat inside we realized we had a decent oil leak.. called the customer he didn’t realize he had one. Addresses the issue and it was a rear main seal. So what did we do? We got a quote wrote and went to work!

🚧 We got two issues knocked out at the same time to get his Jeep back up and running on the road properly and to its best potential. That way he had no worries of abs problems or leaking oil anymore!
