The combination of excessive rainfall, humid temperatures, and cooler overnight conditions has led to a big increase in mushrooms showing up in lawns lately. While they won’t harm your grass, they’re a clear sign your lawn is holding a lot of moisture right now. In most cases, mushrooms will dry up and disappear on their own once conditions become less favorable, or you can simply remove them by hand if you’d rather not wait. As a reminder: never eat mushrooms growing in your yard because they could be toxic.
