Building an aquatic facility in one of Australia’s most remote communities comes with its own set of challenges.

Located 3,600 km from Perth, the Kalumburu Community Pool needed a solution that could handle its remote outback location, harsh climate, and cyclone-prone region.

Natare’s Structural Panel Pool System traveled to Australia in three shipping containers and, once on site, the stainless steel pool was constructed in just under a month. The facility includes a 25-meter, six-lane pool along with a smaller toddler pool with beach entry and a mushroom water feature.

More importantly, it provides the Kalumburu community with a place that supports swimming, education, health, recreation and connection.

It’s a great example of how stainless steel pool construction can help overcome challenging site conditions without compromising quality.
