Canvas was on the ground in Washington, D.C., connecting with Army leaders and industry partners on the priorities shaping Army modernization and the future of integrated defense. We also caught up with members of our National Capital Region (NCR) team while on the show floor.

As initiatives like Golden Dome bring greater focus to the integration of complex defense systems, rigorous test and engineering remain essential to ensuring new capabilities perform when it matters.

A major Canvas milestone, featured in the latest issue of Initiatives.

The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber highlighted Canvas’ recent TMAS 3 contract wins with the U.S. Air Force Test Center, totaling $847 million.

The work spans systems engineering, digital engineering, test and evaluation, and mission-critical test operations.

Meet the recipients of our Spring 2026 grant cycle:

A Bed 4 Me Foundation: A Bed 4 Me ensures children ages 2 to 18 have a comfortable bed of their own, recognizing how important sleep is to health, development, and success in school. They serve families across Okaloosa County and Walton County, Florida.

Blue Monarch: Blue Monarch is a therapeutic community on a 50-acre farm near Monteagle, Tennessee, helping women and children recover from addiction, abuse, and economic hardship. Since 2003, they've served over 1,000 individuals and reunited hundreds of children with their mothers.

Coffee County Children's Advocacy Center: When a child has been hurt, the response matters. The Coffee County Children's Advocacy Center in Manchester, Tennessee brings agencies together to reduce trauma for child abuse victims and their families, always at no cost to them. Serving the children of Coffee County since 2005.

Building Youth Around the World(BYAW): Building Youth Around the World is a volunteer-driven nonprofit in West Jordan, Utah, supporting underprivileged youth ages 0 to 19 with education, essentials, and healthcare in the U.S. and abroad.

As our team joins the missile defense community at the MDA Small Business Conference in Huntsville this week, we’re also introducing a new home for Canvas’ missile defense story.

Our new Missile Defense page brings together our experience across the mission, the technical expertise of our people and how we’re approaching what comes next. It will continue to grow with perspectives, technical insights, and stories from our teams as we share more about the work and people behind the mission.

The page launches with a new perspective from Canvas President Mally Cash on why experience and institutional knowledge matter as modernization moves faster.

The world came to Huntsville over Labor Day weekend for the 2026 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships, and Team Canvas was there to be part of it.

Canvas employees joined volunteers from across the community to welcome some of the world’s top para-cyclists to Cummings Research Park for four days of competition.

Canvas CEO Jami Peyton, who serves as 2026 Chair of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Board, also took part in the medal ceremonies, presenting awards to athletes competing on the world stage. Pictured with Jami is Team USA’s Grace Norman, who earned bronze in the Women’s C4 Individual Time Trial.

It was a special weekend for Huntsville and a great opportunity for our team to show up alongside the community as the Rocket City welcomed athletes from around the world.

Congratulations to all of the athletes, and thank you to the volunteers and organizers who made the weekend possible!
