Throughout September, eligible nonprofit organizations serving women, children, veterans, and education can apply for funding through Canvas’ Be The Good program.

Canvas’ Greg Sarratt recently executed flight experimentation with the PAE Fires test team at White Sands Missile Range during J-REX 26.3.

The Joint Readiness Experimentation event focused on accelerating technology adoption and addressing critical capability gaps for the Joint Force. During Distinguished Visitors Day, the Department of War showcased the Low-Cost Containerized Missiles (LCCM) program through a live ground-launch demonstration.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Space and Missile Defense Symposium! 🚀

This week brought together government and industry leaders for important conversations about the future of the space and missile defense mission. The threat is evolving, timelines are getting shorter, systems are becoming more connected, and getting capability to the warfighter faster matters more than ever.

Those challenges are closely connected to the work Canvas does every day across test, engineering, and technology to move critical capabilities forward.

As a Silver Patron, we spent the week meeting with government customers, connecting with industry partners and colleagues, and hosting our SMD Happy Hour at the Canvas booth. We even managed to have a little fun along the way.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to spend some time with the Canvas team. We’re excited about the conversations happening across this community and ready for the work ahead.

Canvas kicked off SMD week as the Presenting Sponsor of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Women’s Business Council Leaders in Space & Missile Defense Luncheon, bringing together women leading across government and industry.

Canvas President Mally Cash opened the event with an introduction to Canvas, followed by a keynote from COL Danielle Medaglia, Project Manager for Uncrewed Aircraft Systems. COL Medaglia then joined Missile Defense Agency Deputy Director for Test Angela Holmes and AcqCentric CEO Angela Howald for a panel discussion moderated by Canvas CEO Jami Peyton.

The conversation covered leadership, career paths, the challenges and rewards of the defense mission, and the role government and industry play in moving that mission forward.

Thank you to the Chamber, WBC, and each of the speakers for a great conversation and a great way to kick off SMD week!
