As a family-owned business, Jenks is helping develop the next generation of machinists through an earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship program, combining paid, on-the-job training with educational opportunities that prepare individuals for long-term success in manufacturing careers. Through partnerships with local colleges and trade schools, they're creating clear pathways into the skilled trades and helping build the manufacturing workforce of tomorrow.

Local machine shops continue to need skilled staff, and BOCES ETA - Employment Training for Adults is offering a training program in Kingsbury starting next month to help those who are interested in a machining career become qualified to work in the industry.

This 500-hour program introduces basic skills and mathematics related to machine shop theory, and is a mixture of lecture and practical shop experience where students gain the necessary skills to enter the industry.

Upon successful completion Students earn the HAAS Basic Mill Operator Certification and HAAS Basic Lathe Operator Certification.

Warren County Career Center can assist those who qualify with financial assistance.
