This past Friday, our Houston branch took their amazing team out to the ballpark for their annual Employee Appreciation Night! As proud sponsors of the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, they brought 100 employees and their families out to enjoy the game from comfy suites — VIP treatment all around. 😉

This week, we are recognizing Dylan Houston from our Beaumont branch for his quick thinking, calm response, and commitment to doing the right thing during a medical concern involving a fellow employee. When Dylan was informed that an employee needed sugar to help correct a blood sugar-related illness, he did not simply rely on sugary sodas being provided by others. Instead, he took the appropriate action by retrieving a glucose packet from the first aid kit and delivering it to the employee in need. His response helped ensure the employee received a more suitable first-aid item and was able to recover. By knowing where first-aid supplies were located and taking the initiative to use the proper resource, he demonstrated the importance of responding quickly and thoughtfully when an employee’s health may be at risk.

Thank you, Dylan, for stepping up and looking out for your teammate! Your actions reflect the Zero-Harm mindset we value across WPI and serve as a strong reminder that being prepared can make a meaningful difference. 🥳
