Buy, Sell Mike started Schmidt's New London Auto Salvage, Inc in 1980 in New London, Wisconsin at the old Robert's Salvage Yard. We sell quality parts and autos!

Mike quickly became famous with his honest approach to selling cars and parts. His business grew quickly as word of mouth spread that Mike was the man to do business with. In 1995, he purchased Don's Sport Cars from the Bennetts who had built quite a name for themselves, selling European cars and parts. With the purchase of Don's Sport Cars, we grew and so did his name - hence the long name we carry today. Schmidt's New London Auto Salvage and Don's Sport Cars are both great businesses with great names and we wanted to hold onto that legacy. Schmidt's New London Auto Salvage and Don's Sport Cars is proudly family owned and operated. We have acres of car parts (all late model European and American), a full dismantling facility, a used car lot, car parts department and body shop. We work every day to make and keep our business a cut above the rest. We take pride in what we do and treat our customers fairly and with respect. It is with this business ethic that we have grown to be the place that everyone counts on to take care of their automotive needs. We have a huge customer base and it's growing everyday! Schmidt’s Auto Salvage is looking for a full-time Dismantler or 2 to join our team!

We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable, teachable, and willing to learn. Automotive dismantling experience is preferred, but not required, but you will need tools — the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most!

What you’ll be doing:
🚗 Disassembling vehicles
🛠️ Removing parts
💧 Draining fluids
🔧 General dismantling and yard duties
🤝 Working as part of a team to keep things running smoothly

As a dealer we get this question… I would say almost weekly!

If you are selling cars here’s what you need to know. Straight from the WI DOT!

In Wisconsin, a private individual can generally sell up to 5 used vehicles during a 12-month period without needing a dealer license, as long as:

* The vehicles are titled in your name
* They were for your personal use
* You did not buy them with the intent to resell them

Any profit that is made is also supposed to be claimed on your income tax return.

Well folks. It’s here… the extremely cold temps.

We will be closed tomorrow, as we will not send our yard guy out in these temps. Machinery doesn’t operate well in this cold either so there will be no loading or unloading of anything.
