This one reads more like a piece of architecture than a typical house listing.
3918 sq ft of living space, 5 bedrooms, and 3.5 baths, with a 2-car garage and 1,691 sq ft of timber-framed porch. The great room rises to 19-foot vaulted ceilings under a dark metal roof, framed by black board-and-batten siding, a stacked-stone chimney, and heavy timber posts and beams that carry the porch the full length of the home.
Large windows sit between those timber columns, so the woods feel like part of the room. The front gable is a statement on its own: exposed truss work, a deep covered entry, and that tall stone mass anchoring the whole elevation. It’s modern barndominium lines done with craftsmanship you usually only see in custom timber frames.
Open the door and the scale hits first. Then the light. Then the fact that the porch is almost a second house.

Barndominium vs. traditional home — what’s the real difference?

At Midsouth Barndominiums we hear this all the time.
A true barndominium is usually post-frame: posts about 10 feet apart, 2x6 girts tying the walls together for metal siding, and metal roofing on 2x4 purlins over the trusses. The look started as living quarters inside a barn.
A traditional stud-framed home uses 2x4 or 2x6 studs 16 inches on center, typically on a slab or crawl space. Walls get sheathing and house wrap before siding. Roof trusses are decked, then underlayment and the finished roof go on.
We build stud-framed homes with the roof, siding, and interior finishes you actually want — not a one-look-fits-all.
