Back to back wins for TPM!

Last weekend took top honors in open light division at the Defiance Anti Social NRL hunter match in Belt, MT. And this weekend I pulled off a first place win in open heavy division at the Nightforce Snake River Outdoorsman NRL Hunter match in Juliaetta, ID.

This was one of the most challenging matches I’ve ever shot and the points race at the top was very close, proving that every impact matters. The course was amazing, offering some unique high-angle shooting, killer views, and some really diverse terrain that I enjoyed immensely. Once again, the quarter bore “miracle” Creedmoor performed all that was asked of it and then some. The whole rifle / ammo setup I’m running currently is arguably the best shooting rifle I’ve ever had…. In my life!

Overall, it was an excellent event at a fantastic venue. I had the opportunity to meet some new people, see some good buddies and have a great time. Shout out to the boys who made squad 7 awesome:

Huge congratulations to TPM shooter for his 1st place win at the infamous Defiance Machine Anti Social NRL Hunter match this last weekend.

I’ve shot a few matches with Casey now and I’d love to credit his win to the rifle I built him, but that just isn’t the case. 🤣 Casey is one of those shooters who maintains his composure no matter what, remains focused, and makes it look easy. This isn’t his first podium at a 2-day NRL match this year either, he has been on an absolute streak this year and last, dominating the NRL Hunter open light class at almost every match he has shot.

I’m proud and honored to have him choose me to build his rifle. As a token of my appreciation, Casey will not be paying for his barrel work on the next tube I turn for him. With how many rifles I have out there in the competition world now, I extend this reward to anyone who takes a podium win in a major 2 day match with a TPM rifle and submits a photo with their rifle. We will cap it at labor for one barrel / thread job per calendar year for a first place win ( valued at $525 ), a $250 shop credit towards labor for any second place win, and $100 for a third place win. Get out there and get some!

Zeus Quick Change Barrel setup.

I’ve done hundreds of these barrels, and recently I had a couple of “pre-fits” come in from other shops that were replaced with my barrels. One thing I noticed was the thread fitment. The threads were too tight. Way too tight. It made it impossible to “feel” when the shoulder of the barrel seated against the receiver. Some people get confused about the purpose of threads…. Remember, they are just the attachment mechanism. Obviously the threads shouldn’t be full of tool chatter and sloppy, but there is no need or reason for near interference fit threads on a rifle. This is how a barrel should fit. The contact shoulders are perfectly square to the centerline, parallel to each other and have 100% contact. They actually “pop” together. This is perfect and what you want.

We’ve been so@busy building rifles, I haven’t had a chance to post in a bit. Rest assured, we’re still pumping out the best stuff available today.

Here’s a little project we finished today. A Sig Cross pistol chambered in 308 Win, barrel shortened to 13.5”, receiver and handguard coated in Elite series moss green, and barrel coated in H-146 graphite black. It’s a looker indeed. 🔥🔥🔥

Absolutely insane performance.

Here’s the new TPM 5 Port 1.250” comp brake on a 300 Norma Improved. This is no slouch… 19lb rifle shooting 250 grain Hornady A-Tips at 3050 FPS.

The recoil is less than my 15.5 lb 25 Creedmoor with a suppressor. It honestly doesn’t even feel like a magnum. I am beyond pleased with the performance. The hundreds of hours of design, testing, changes and more testing has paid off. Thinking about this whole project, it amazes me how much work was put into this small, simple device.

Blast is diverted up and out to keep the muzzle flat and the blast away from the shooter. It is an absolute joy to shoot this monster.

We’re running right on schedule with the upcoming preorder and release. The actual production models will be here in a couple weeks for final testing with the production run to follow right away. I think these will be very well received. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
