More time to respond. Less chemical use. More reliable wastewater operations.

When a beverage manufacturer needed a better way to manage acidic wastewater across multiple facilities, The Probst Group developed a solution that helped stabilize the process and reduce the burden on operators.

The results included nearly eliminating chemical usage and providing approximately 12–24 hours of wastewater storage during unexpected disruptions - giving operators valuable time to address problems before compliance was threatened.

The success of the first implementation led to similar projects across multiple facilities.

Nothing builds teamwork quite like a little friendly competition!

Last Friday, The Probst Team gathered for our September Lunch Cookout and our 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁!

The afternoon included great food, time together outside the office, and plenty of competitive spirit as teams battled their way through the bracket for a chance to take home the coveted Co****le Tournament Champion trophy.

Congratulations to this year's champions, Lukus & Kate!

Events like these provide an opportunity to step away from day-to-day projects, connect with coworkers, and strengthen the relationships that help us work effectively together.

An anoxic selector and sidestream deammonification can both support nitrogen management - but they solve very different wastewater treatment challenges.

An anoxic selector works within the mainstream biological treatment process, where it can support denitrification, improve sludge settling, and make productive use of the organic carbon already present in the wastewater.

Sidestream deammonification targets a smaller, concentrated ammonia-rich recycle stream before it returns to the main treatment system.

So, which technology is better? That’s not really the right question.

The better question is: Where is the nitrogen, and what problem are we trying to solve?

We recently gathered for our August employee potluck lunch — complete with plenty of food, some time outside, and a grill that was definitely put to work.

Our summer cookouts are one of the ways we make time to get everyone together, catch up, and enjoy each other’s company away from the usual workday.
