We’ve been getting asked, “What’s the difference between CPR and TimberBright? Are they just two versions of basically the same thing?”

Definitely not. They’re about as different as the Chiefs and the Eagles. Both get the job done. They just don’t run the same plays. 😏Both great cleaners, two completely different technologies. Here’s the breakdown:

👉🏻 CPR Log Cleaner & Brightener. Think cleaning & brightening. CPR uses oxygenated bleach (sodium percarbonate) to remove dirt, pollen, and other surface contaminants, and kill mold and algae. It’s especially useful for cleaning and brightening bare wood that’s dirty, faded, or grayed from UV exposure. It can also be used at a different cleaning strength for periodic cleaning of stained logs.

👉🏻TimberBright. Think cleaning without bleaching the wood. Its patented bio-enzyme technology targets surface contaminants like dirt, pollen, mold, mildew, and algae, helping lift them away without bleaching the wood or etching the surface. It works on finished and unfinished wood, plus other common building materials. It’s an excellent choice for routine maintenance cleaning when you want to clean the surface without changing the wood’s color.

So, which one should you use? That depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. Need to clean and brighten bare, weathered wood? CPR may be your play. Need to remove surface grime without bleaching the wood? TimberBright may be the better fit.

As always, follow the product directions, use the right dilution, and rinse thoroughly when required. And remember, neither cleaner is a substitute for proper surface preparation when a finish is failing.
