Granbury Bass Club-EMAIL QUESTIONS TO [email protected] or [email protected] We are a family friendly bass club, based out of Granbury TX.

Our membership is 40.00 per household, and our monthly tournament fees are: $35.00 (includes Big Stringer & Big Bass) per angler. There is an optional $5.00; this includes $2.50 for Blind Draw and $2.50 for the Calcutta pot. We fish individual and team format, but contestants may fish together in the same boat. Our tournament lakes span across the DFW Metroplex. The club members nominate and vote

on tournament lakes at the monthly meeting. The montly meeting is always held the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the Spring Creek BBQ in Granbury. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

Lake Waco was selected for this month’s GBC member tournament. In accordance with Section 3.20 of GBC Rules & Regulations, this is a 3-bass tournament due to the summer months. According to Recreation.gov, the Speegleville Park gates do not open until 6:00 AM, so plan accordingly. I’ve heard there is a park entrance fee for the boat ramp at Speegleville (also known as Lake Waco Marina Boat Ramp) and found a 2024 rate of $5 per day, but could not find anything more recent.

Eagle Mountain Lake was selected for this month’s GBC member tournament. This is a 5-bass tournament. Twin Points Park Boat Ramp parking permits require Credit and Debit cards only at the entry kiosk (believe price is $20 per vehicle per day).

Tournament #7 for the season is in the books! Congratulations to Travis Bullard for his win on Lake Granbury and third win of the season! Saturday proved to have better fishing conditions before the overnight storms that challenged our anglers on Sunday. One more day to go. The lake is fishing great. A 8 pounder won big bass last night in the Tri Lakes Working mans. I will be at the ramp at 5 for sign ups. See you there!

Tournament #6 for the season is in the books! Congratulations to Bill Roberts for his win on Possum Kingdom and first win of the season! It seems that Sundays have been better fishing days on the last couple of tournaments, even if it's blowing 25-25 mph with gusts up to 50. Thank you to all our anglers for making this weekend another fun and competitive event!

Possum Kingdom Lake was selected for this month’s GBC member tournament. This is a 5-bass tournament. State length limits apply. Public ramps are located in BRA recreation areas and Possum Kingdom State Park. Fluctuating water levels may affect usability; check the BRA website for current ramp conditions.

First Cast: 7:00 AM

Weigh-In: In weigh-in line by 3:00 PM

It was a good weekend for Granbury Bass Club. Members Travis Bullard and Neil Dempsey took home 1st place on Squaw Creek in the Rough Creek Bass Club Tournament with a limit weighing 19+lbs. Kenneth Sweeten and Daughter Kaylynn came in 1st on Granbury at the Fun-N-Sun Adult/Youth Tournament with a limit weighing 22.44lbs. They may be the team to beat in upcoming Open Tournament!
