SUN’s annual 2026 Summer Picnic this past weekend was a great reminder of what makes our company special — our people.

We were fortunate to enjoy a beautiful Maryland summer day filled with great food, including a traditional Maryland crab feast, and even better company. Events like these reflect the family atmosphere that has always been a part of SUN.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and helped organize the day. Most importantly, thank you to all of our employees for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to our customers and each other. We appreciate everything you do and are proud to have such an outstanding team.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Bob Henschen and his wife Joy to Glen Arm, MD, for a congratulatory retirement lunch as Bob celebrates an incredible 42-year career in the corrugated industry.

Throughout his journey with organizations including Ward/BWP, Bobst, Langston, Emba, and Georgia-Pacific LLC, Bob has made a lasting impact on our industry through his leadership, expertise, and dedication. His contributions have helped shape countless operations, projects, and professional relationships across the corrugated world.

It was an honor to spend time with Bob and his wife as we reflected on the many accomplishments, friendships, and memories made throughout his remarkable career.

On behalf of everyone at SUN, thank you, Bob, for your years of service, partnership, and friendship. We wish you both all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter filled with family, travel, new projects, and well-deserved time together. A successful Factory Acceptance Test was completed yesterday for another SUN625 Heavy Duty Rotary Die Cutter. This high-performance RDC is now preparing for shipment to a valued customer on the East Coast next week.

The SUN625HD continues to deliver the durability, precision, and productivity today’s corrugated operations demand, backed by the service and support SUN Automation Group is known for.
