📌Job Description
CNC Lathe and CNC Mill Machine Programmer/Operator requirements:
· 2 years CNC Lathe and CNC Mill Programmer/Operator experience or College/Technical School training required on HURCO Mills and Prototype Lathe
· working knowledge of CMM programming, using languages such as PCDMIS, or other appropriate CMM skills
· proficiency reading/ comprehending blue prints and work/ process instructions as well as using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and plug gauges
· basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, conversion to millimeters
· stamina to stand, walk, bend, stoop, exert physical force, carry up to 50 lbs and work up to 10 hour shifts
· reliable work ethics and attendance
· willing to learn and improve skills
· strong mechanical aptitude
CNC Lathe and CNC Mill Machine Operator primary responsibilities:
· Machine programming and set up to specified print; craft parts from raw material according to blue prints and work/ process instructions; operate machine, change inserts and perform minor off-sets
· visually inspect surface finish though out production for burrs, scratches, rust and defects; trim and deburr parts while running machines
· perform basic preventive maintenance on machines such as adding coolant, way l**e and hydraulic fluid
· use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and plug gauges to perform piece-part and final inspections
· load raw materials and piece parts into collets, vices and work holdings
· remove rejected/ defective parts and materials from production
· verify, count and package completed parts
