LMT pre ordered axles should be ready to start shipping later this week. If the hardware shows up today I will start assembly tomorrow.

I just wanted to update everyone that pre ordered LMT axles. I am about 40% done. I figure it’s going to take a couple weeks yet. We are getting close. Thank you all for your patience I am trying hard to get these done ASAP.

New Losi axles are live on the web store now.
They will begin shipping in Late February/ early March. I will do my best to keep this post updated if there are any delays.

Also do to my web store setup I have to charge the full price right away. I do not like this I wish I could take deposits and have a final pay when they ship. But the software does not work like that. I need to run these through the store for order tracking reasons.

New axles are ready to be made in a production setting.

I think I’ll be ready to open a pre order on Sunday.
I have them listed on my web store, they will go active on Saturday night/Sunday. Final price per axle housing will be $260.00
You will be able to purchase front and rear separately.
From pre order to delivery is likely going to be 6 weeks or so. Please keep that in mind as this is the first production run it will take longer to produce as I will be fine tuning programs and making custom fixturing. I’ll keep the pre order open for 2 weeks.

Second prototype revision done and assembled. Some very small things to dial in but these are probably the last prototypes before final release.
I’ll be working this week to get a final price and get ready for a pre order.

Update on LMT axle housings. We are geting much closer to the final revision and starting production.

changes from the original design for version 2.

-The differential will now mount to the back of the front cover. this will keep the gear mesh between the pinion and and ring gears consistant once assembled. (previously was going to float on 2 mounting blocks sandwiched between the covers, we used this method on our 5th scale axle housings and it worked ok, but I think this will be better.)
-All bearing sizes updated to losi version 2 larger sizes.
-servo mount angle reduced
-sway bar mounts revised to be more functional.
-shock mounts changed to screw into threaded holes from each side instead of 1 long screw through both shocks.
-rear lockout system for rear axle- should be adjustable for user selected toe in angle up to 5 degrees.

I am hoping to make all the updated parts strating this week. once it's confirmed the design is going to work as planned I will start a production run (late January most likely). I have not decided if I should do a pre-order on these so i know how many to make on the first run. I don't want to make too few and have anyone miss out but I don't want to make hundreds of them and have them sit on a shelf either. I'll hopefully know by the end of the week if I will open a pre-order or not.

Black anodized parts should be ready tomorrow or Saturday. Assembly is in full swing. Just need to get them packaged up.

With all the excitement of the LMT axles. I just wanted to give a quick update on the clod black Anodized parts. The clod gearcases are in full production this week. Hopefully by the end of next week everything is ready for anodize. So if you’re waiting for the black anodized parts they are coming soon.
