Ron & CEO Tracy Hauppa-Kenyeri with golf stuff.🏌️‍♀️😆 Tracy brought Ronald J. Kenyeri, her older son who graduated🎓 from Illinois Institute of Technology on Saturday with a 5-yr Masters (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) to last night's Top of the Green: Industry Exchange offered by the Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA).

This event, generously sponsored by HYPERAMS, featured networking and a plated dinner at Rolling Greens Country Club along with compelling discussion. The jovial ice breaker involved sharing a fun fact and putting on a putting green mat. Ronnie managed to score both rounds and was handed the putting set as a prize (hence his hands are full here).

It was enjoyable reconnecting with colleages like TMA Board President Shiv Sivakumar of AJ Manufacturing and marketing expert Mike Weber of MLW Marketing, Inc., as well as Jessica Slaby of Cornerstone National Bank & Trust Company among others.

This week we welcome Doug Schumacher to the Kenyeri Engineering & Manufacturing, LLC team as a full time electrical technician and panel builder. Doug came to us while finishing the last couple of classes toward an Electrical Preparations certificate at College of Dupage. He just finished a semester on robotics there and wants to top it off with an additional class on commercial wiring.

Doug has worked hard while going to school where he developed a great work ethic, and stepped up showing a teamwork spirit when he started at KEM part-time. Between his family exposure doing hands-on work using tools and the excellent preparation he got at College of DuPage, Doug was an immediate helpful asset to our team and we’re glad to have him on board.

Interesting twist – Doug’s Grandpa was my Dad’s army buddy and my Dad’s one true lifelong friend. They met when they both got drafted during the early years of the Vietnam conflict and happened to both be from . Fast forward to more recent times, and my oldest son and Doug were born 6 weeks apart, and while not close friends, both attended Downers Grove South High School. I didn’t know Doug was pursuing the electrical trade at until a chance meeting at a local party last summer when I told someone we were looking for an electrical panel builder. They recommended I talk to Doug. He turned out to be a great fit, and here we are. I’m sure my Dad and Doug’s grandpa are smiling on us from up above.

KCC Demo Board, Pneumatic Gripper Options

We thank our friends at KCC Co., Ltd. who sent us this great demo board! It will help us rep their rugged and precise line of pneumatic grippers, solenoids, pistons and gauged filter-regulators that we incorporate when integrating the Hanwha Robotics cobots we also offer.

We love KCC's motto, We Move Forward Together™️, embodying the quality and ease of use we experience when implementing their products. Our team then designs and machines adapters and custom jaws to apply the KCC grippers to your robotic application. It's an effective partnership and one we're happy to stand behind.

Their manual and PLC-controlled solenoids and other pneumatic components have worked well when we've added a small compressor to power the gripper on the cobot, and for everyday pneumatic setups as well.

Useful tariff insights were shared at this afternoon’s VIA Executive Forum: Understanding and Navigating Trade and Tariffs hosted at Gripple USA in Aurora.

A chuck made in the USA? Wait. What?! But it always has been. We think outside the box for a living.

Here we have Op-10 of chuck body fabrication.

If you make fragile parts, like high pressure turbine blades or titanium mesh parts for hip implants… This chuck will maintain 90% grip force (at 4500 rpm), resulting in excellent surface finish. So it can replace grinding. It’s sealed, ready for production use.
