Scranton's Thruway Builders Supply Corporation

Providing building supplies for over 38 years has given us the experience and expertise to understand the needs of our customers.

Established in 1970 by the late George Scranton, Scranton's Thruway Builders Supplies has been serving the construction industry with the same dedication and honesty as it's founder. In 2006, Scranton's Thruway Builders Supplies became a subsidiary of United Materials LLC, expanding our products to include not just a full line of building supplies, but to include multiple ready-mix concrete facilities and a quarry operated by our sister company Frey Sand and Gravel.

A double-sided wall block that does not make you choose a good side. Semma from -bloc is a patented split-face system finished on both faces, so a freestanding wall is a finish job on both sides, not a finish and a fallback.

Ask us whether Semma suits the freestanding walls in your plan.

The right wall can shape the look of your entire outdoor space.

Skyscraper from -bloc features a smooth, flat face that creates a clean backdrop for planting, patios and other landscape elements.

💡Design tip: when choosing a wall, think about what you want it to do visually. A simpler surface can let your plants, furniture and surrounding materials take more of the spotlight.

Where would you use a wall like this in your yard: around a garden bed, along a patio or somewhere else?

A wall you stop noticing is a wall doing its job. Systema from -bloc keeps a smooth, even face across a long run, so a boundary or a raised bed reads as one calm surface rather than a busy pattern.

Ask us how a long, low wall would sit in your yard.

Help your clients create a driveway with timeless character. Nordic Cobble is modelled after traditional hand-cut granite cobbles, making it a stylish choice for striking borders, grid patterns and circular designs. Its randomized cobble "faces" offer a natural look that pairs beautifully with rustic pavers or creates contrast alongside sleek, contemporary slabs.

Stop in and see our Unilock paver options to find a style that fits your clients’ design.

On a retaining job the schedule lives or dies on the wall going up straight and fast. G-Force from -bloc is built for structural retaining runs, so the crew can course a load-bearing wall without turning every lift into a decision.

The time you save is not in the laying, it is in not re-checking your line every third course.

Sending a retaining wall out to bid soon? Send us the site plan and we will spec it with you.

A garden wall does two jobs at once. It holds a slope, and it gives a bed an edge you actually want to look at. Borealis from -bloc carries a wood-grain texture, so a low retaining wall reads like a design choice instead of engineering.

Tell us about the slope and we will talk through what a low wall would take.

A pool deck that can be set on pedestals solves drainage and level in one move. Everest Rectangle from -bloc is HD² and pedestal-set capable, so a crew can build a dead-level deck over a slope or a membrane without fighting the fall. The bonus you can sell: units lift out for access underneath, which the plumber will thank you for later. Got a raised or membrane deck coming up? Let's spec the pedestal layout together.
