Hurricane Ida took a tract that was slightly west of New Orleans and our headquarters in Madisonville, LA. As a result, the area has sustained significant wind damage with downed power lines, trees and debris. Fortunately, the levee system throughout Louisiana remained intact and we have not seen the flooding associated with hurricane Katrina 16 years ago.

Communication in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida remains difficult with a widespread power outage and interrupted cell phone service in Louisiana. However, as of this update, we have been in contact with the majority of our Louisiana personnel who are safe and well. We are pleased to report that although there is a mess to pick up, the facility did not sustain any structural damage. We expect to be back in the office as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, those of us who are able will be working remotely.

As always, safety is our number one priority. The roads are being cleared and utility contractors are moving in to secure and restore power to the area. While many in the area are still without power, we confirmed on Sept. 2 that the office power has been restored.
