PROJECT HIGHLIGHT:

infrastructure isn't glamorous, but it matters.

When the Twin Oaks Wastewater System in Raceland, Louisiana received a compliance order from LDEQ, Fairway got to work. We assessed the existing oxidation pond and lift stations, built out a capital improvement plan, and are now designing $2M worth of upgrades to bring the system up to standard.

New screening, aerators, baffle walls, a chlorine contact basin, chemical feed systems, and an access road, plus provisions for future expansion already baked into the design.

Project Highlight | Alton Water System Interconnection

Fairway Consulting and Engineering is serving as the prime design firm for the Alton Water System Interconnection, supporting improved system connectivity and reliability for local communities.

The project includes the design of approximately 1,600 linear feet of 8-inch and 10-inch water main connecting the Alton Water System, operated by Tammany Utilities, with a neighboring system operated by Central States Water. The scope also includes a jack-and-bore installation beneath US Highway 11 and an active Norfolk Southern railroad right-of-way, requiring detailed coordination and permitting with DOTD, the Louisiana Department of Health, and Norfolk Southern.

This work reflects Fairway’s continued focus on practical, constructable water and wastewater infrastructure solutions delivered through close collaboration with utility partners and regulatory agencies.

Fairway Consulting and Engineering, LLC (Fairway) is proud to support Tammany Utilities with the design of a new interconnection between the Meadow Lake and Cross Gates Water Systems. Spanning 3,800 LF of 10-inch water main with an HDD surface crossing, the project was completed on an accelerated timeline through close coordination with DOTD and LDH — improving system reliability and service continuity for the community.
