STONE’s third Nature Night of 2026, hosted in partnership with the Westerville Parks and Recreation Department, will take place this Friday, June 12th at Hoff Woods Park. Enjoy learning about Mosses, Lichens, and Mushrooms with fun and free hands-on activities for all ages—including origami and play-dough, a specimen touch table, and a Fun Fact scavenger hunt.

STONE is thrilled to announce the addition of Denali Waers to our team. Denali is a recent Ohio University graduate and joins us as a Staff Environmental Scientist. When asked about joining STONE, she shared:

“I have been training to be in the environmental field before I knew it even existed. I grew up on a farm and was heavily involved with 4-H my whole childhood. I have a love for all things outdoors and never pass up the opportunity to get my hands dirty!”

A rain-event can’t dampen our spirits today! STONE is proud to announce that our own Ross Harrison has obtained his Certified Erosion, Sediment, & Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI) certification.

Ross has been integral to STONE’s stormwater compliance efforts over the last two years and he has gained a depth of SWPPP compliance experience in accordance with Ohio EPA’s Construction and MS4 NPDES regulations. We are grateful for the dedication and positive attitude he brings to our team and our clients each day, and we’re excited to celebrate this well-earned accomplishment with him.

Cheers to 10 Years! STONE is honored to shell-ebrate a decade of impact with Dr. Michael Hoggarth, Principal Ecologist. With 38 years of experience as an aquatic ecologist and specialized expertise in the life history and ecology of freshwater mussels, he continues to shape and strengthen our meaningful work here at STONE.
From day one, he’s been flexing serious mussel in the industry, and we’re grateful to have his knowledge and leadership on our team. Congratulations and thank you, Dr. Hoggarth!

In celebration of Arbor Day, STONE’s own Alex Brown represented the Worthington Arbor Advisory Committee at the City of Worthington’s Arbor Day event. We’re especially proud of Al for lending his voice and leadership to an event that brings the community together around stewardship and sustainability.
The celebration featured the planting of a Swamp White Oak (Quercus bicolor) to mark both Arbor Day 2026 and the 250th anniversary of the United States. The ceremony brought together students from Evening Street Elementary School, the Worthington Parks and Recreation Department, members of Worthington City Council, and Mayor Scott Holmes.
A great day to invest in the future of our community—one tree at a time!

Celebrate the start of gardening season with fun, hands-on activities for all ages—from creating miniature planter gardens to flower pressing and a wildflower scavenger hunt. Whether you're planting your first seed or already have a green thumb, it’s the perfect way to welcome the season. Come enjoy a little dirt therapy with us!
