We’re rolling out more than a new drill rig! Meet CTL Infrastructure Solutions, the newest addition to the CTL family! The team will tackle slip-and-slide repairs and drainage projects across West Virginia, helping stabilize slopes and protect the infrastructure communities depend on.

Their new drill rig was getting ready for the trip, and we couldn’t resist giving it a little camera time. It’s an exciting step forward for CTL, and we can’t wait to share the work ahead!

The CTL team, led by Ali Jamshidi, raised almost $12,000 for the American Heart Association Heart Walk. The Health Walk, held on August 15, 2026, is AHA’s premier event for raising funds to save lives. Ali has been walking and raising money for the AHA for over 30 years. Every dollar raised means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lives saved!

Eight years later, CTL’s investment in engineering education is still growing.

In 2018, CTL Engineering made a $200,000 gift to The Ohio State University’s Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering to help restore its geotechnical engineering laboratory and create the CTL Engineering Lab in Hitchcock Hall.

We’re excited to see that partnership continue to grow.

Last month, the CTL Engineering Lab welcomed a new cyclic simple shear testing device, expanding the research capabilities available to Ohio State students, faculty and researchers. The equipment will support new geotechnical research while giving students additional opportunities to connect classroom concepts with hands-on testing and real-world engineering applications.

Supporting the next generation of engineers was the goal of our original investment, and it’s rewarding to see the lab continuing to evolve eight years later.

Thank you to The Ohio State University College of Engineering for sharing this update. We’re proud to continue supporting geotechnical engineering education and research at Ohio State.
