Our team recently spent an incredibly rewarding day volunteering at the Pikes Peak United Way Family Success Center. From painting classrooms and refreshing the playground for The Lighthouse Daycare to assembling emergency food bags for Care & Share’s Sunny Side market, our employees jumped in wherever help was needed.

The energy was unmatched, and we’re already organizing another volunteer day and food drive for this summer!

We are so honored to announce that Bob Penkhus Motor Company was named the 2026 Family-Owned Small Business of the Year at Pikes Peak Small Business Week! 🏆

Our CEO, Sevan Stryker, accepted the award this week at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This recognition is especially meaningful as we celebrate our 75th year of serving the Colorado Springs community. Since Bob Penkhus Sr. started with a single used car lot downtown in 1951, our mission has remained the same: prioritizing family, community, and long-term service.

A huge thank you to the Pikes Peak SBDC, the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, and the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado for this incredible honor. Most importantly, thank you to our amazing customers and team members who have made these 75 years possible! 🥂✨
