We’re adding a new line of stand-alone rear e-locking differentials for the 955/957-T1/T2-Gen 1 Q7 featuring the TRE 4x4 rear carrier.

Availiable ratios:
955 Base / T1 Touareg - 4.56
955 S / GTS - 4.10
955 Turbo - 3.70

957 Base / T2 Touareg- 4.56
957 S / GTS - 3.55
957 Turbo / Turbo S - 3.30

These require very little wiring and are controlled by a toggle switch. Unfortunately you cannot use the factory rocker switch to enable this differential.

Is something growling in your Cayenne and it isn’t your dog? Look at your diffs!

Pinion bearing failure is becoming more and more prevalent in every year of Cayenne and Touareg from 955-958.1.

Here’s what failure looks like: the shiny coating on bearings is titanium nitride and it’s only a few MICRONS thick. Once the coating is gone, bearings wear very quickly; destroying the gearset.
