Building an epic sign for Mower Insurance Agency, Inc.
Offset lettering, with PMS matched powdercoating means no direct welding to the paint or it burns off. Solution: aluminum standoffs, screwed through the letters, welded on top of the letter, then sent off for powdercoat, each letter secured on a prepared strip per color, to hang for spraying.
Small letters in logo tagline too small and pricey to offset. Solution: cut it into the main piece and add a PMS color matched backer behind it.
Lining up letters perfectly on a 4' x 7' sign. Solution: while in CAD, lay out the letters on the sign, create / line up holes, then pull off the letters and save in separate files as they are cut separately anyway.
Weight/rust/color: aluminum for the win.
Hanging: French cleat, neat and easily balanced. It's heavy!
Thanks to Tom at Eclipse Powder Coating for the help with color match. Thank you Tyler for your patience and trust in making the sign you envisioned for your new company.
