🏌️ Taking our company culture to the course!

The machines may be staying in the shop for this one, but the competition is still on.

We brought the Coastal Machine & Supply team together for an employee golf tournament, giving everyone a chance to step away from the shop floor and enjoy some friendly competition.

There were good swings, bad swings, plenty of laughs, and probably a few scores that required some creative accounting. ⛳

Events like this are a great reminder that the people behind the parts are what make Coastal special. We’re proud to have built a team that works hard together and knows how to have a little fun together, too.

A great day on the course with an even better team. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a memorable one!

Yesterday, a DN Solutions SMX 3100L rolled onto our floor.

It’s the first of three SMX machines landing at Coastal Machine before the end of year, and a fourth, an SMX 5100LB, follows in March.

Why this matters:

→ More capacity for large, complex parts. 100" Bed length, 80ATC & Steady Rest. This is built for the work our Defense, Space, and Oil & Gas customers send us.
→ Fewer setups, tighter quality. Turning and milling in one platform means fewer handoffs & less part handling. That means shorter lead times and more consistent parts.

Employee Spotlight: Kiley Olivier

For the past six years, Kiley Olivier has been an important part of the Coastal Machine & Supply team.

As an Administrative Assistant supporting accounting and human resources, Kiley helps keep the company's day-to-day operations running smoothly. Her work may happen behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in supporting our team and providing a positive customer experience.

One of Kiley’s favorite things about working at Coastal is the great work environment and outstanding leadership. When it comes to supporting customers, she makes a point of providing timely responses to requests for financial documents and other information they may need.

We’re grateful for the consistency, responsiveness, and support Kiley brings to Coastal every day.

Our defense machine shop has been using Datanomix for years, and we recently added it to all machines at Coastal Machine & Supply, increasing visibility across departments.

With all machines being monitored, we have greater insight into utilization and downtime. This means we are able to plan production schedules better, increasing overall efficiency.

Our ability to make better-informed decisions about program scheduling is important as the needs of our customers continue to grow.
