As part of Take Your Kid to Work Day 2026, we continued the Stonebrooke tradition of welcoming our employees’ kids to the office for a day of fun!

The kids went on scavenger hunts, enjoyed plenty of snacks, and even tried some metal detecting. It was a great day and one of our favorite traditions.

Last week, a few of our team members and their families volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest, helping prepare and serve meals for families staying there. We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and support families in our community!

Congratulations to Maddie Marschall on being the recipient of the 2026 Stonebrooke Founder’s Award!🏆

Maddie was selected for her consistent ability to go above and beyond in her role. One nomination said it best:

“When how you perform day to day is exceptional, it becomes difficult to come up with specific examples of success, because it all looks the same.”

We are grateful for the dedication, excellence, and impact Maddie brings to Stonebrooke every day.

Congratulations to Rice County on winning the Minnesota County Engineers Association Project of the Year Award for the TH 19/I-35/CSAH 46/CR 59 Roundabout project near Northfield in Rice County, MN!

This project transformed one of the county’s most challenging intersections into a safer, more efficient gateway for residents, freight, and visitors. In partnership with Rice County and MnDOT District 6, our team delivered an innovative single‑lane, six‑legged roundabout that improves safety, reduces congestion, and enhances access for all users.

To bring this project to life, we worked closely with MnDOT’s GDSU, State Aid, and local partners to balance complex geometry with community needs. Our team also led a proactive public engagement effort, keeping residents informed from design through construction.

One of the project’s biggest successes was maintaining continuous traffic on TH 19 throughout construction through detailed staging and a multi‑phase traffic control plan.

Construction began in April 2024, with traffic opening to the new roundabout in October 2024 and final completion in September 2025. This project is a model of collaboration, creative problem‑solving, and community‑focused design that delivers lasting safety and mobility benefits for Rice County and MnDOT District 6.
