This video features the 360 RAIN Autonomous Irrigation System available here at Farmers Equipment Company!

You will see a series of clips with it operating from several angles, including a time-lapse showing its unique way of turning & resetting to provide efficient, yet complete crop coverage.

Here is how 360 Rain describes their cutting edge irrigation system:

"A COMPLETELY NEW WAY TO NURTURE YOUR CROP

DELIVERING WATER, NUTRIENTS, FUNGICIDES AND MORE DAY AND NIGHT
By delivering bands of water directly to the base of the plant, 360 RAIN irrigation provides advantages over traditional irrigation methods. With a 60-foot boom (24 rows), 360 RAIN applies water through Y-DROP style hoses that are better for row crops or the splash pan style that is best for grass. Up to 2,900 feet of 3-inch diameter hose is dispense by a computer-controlled reel. The machine moves up and down the crop rows as the well-tethered reel dispenses and retrieves hose. At 0.45 mph, 360 RAIN can apply over 2,000,000 gallons of water per week – the equivalent of one inch of rain over an 80-acre field from a well producing just 215 gallons per minute. And then start again. And again. Providing the three or four inches of critical moisture that activates soil microbes, enhances grain fill and allows plants to thrive.

BRINGING IRRIGATION TO NEW REGIONS
360 RAIN requires much lower volumes of water than traditional irrigation systems. Depending on field size, wells need to provide just 100 to 225 gallons per minute to the system. Plus, 360 RAIN can water irregular shaped fields that do not fit typical center pivot systems. The RAIN system also provides 100% field coverage – no special equipment needed to cover the corners that are typical to center pivot fields.

A NEW CONCEPT WITH PROVEN TECHNOLOGY
360 RAIN is a three wheeled electric vehicle and uses field-proven components from the irrigation industry including tire and galvanized metal frame. Guidance is provided through RTK and communication through a cellular network that provides the control, coverage and rate instructions.

STRONG CROP RESPONSE
Two years of test data show a strong yield response to a timely dose of low volumes of water and nutrients. In 2020 replicated side-by-side trials, test strips that received just 4.5 inches of water from 360 RAIN through the growing season generated an additional 65 bushels per acre – a 32% improvement over non-irrigated strips.

KEY FEATURES
- Lower water demands - operating on wells or reservoirs with 75% less flow capacity of traditional pivot system.
- Efficient delivery of nutrients such as nitrogen, sulfur, boron and other micronutrients.
- Ability to work in irregular shaped fields where center pivots are not practical.
- Variable rate nitrogen, water, and micronutrients.
- Seven-foot clearance under the frame. 10' under booms.
