To whoever pulled off the successful brownie hit-and-run… thank you.

You should’ve seen Bill’s face.

He walked into the back room and said, “Hey… I just stepped away from the counter for a few seconds, came back, and somebody dropped off brownies. I have no idea who it was… but I think maybe somebody out there still likes me.”

That one simple act made his whole day.

Let’s be honest—Bill is 72 years old. He should probably be retired by now, but he still comes in every day because he genuinely loves what he does. This time of year isn’t easy. The front counter takes a beating. Machines aren’t done fast enough. Repairs cost more than people hoped. Sometimes he catches the frustration before anyone else does.

But through it all, Bill shows up with a smile, treats everyone with respect, and genuinely cares about every customer who walks through our door.

And here’s something most people don’t know… Bill talks about you guys all the time. The stories he shares with the crew are priceless. He truly enjoys getting to know the people who come through Stonington Power.

So to the mystery brownie donor… thank you.

It wasn’t really about the brownies. It was about the kindness behind them. You reminded all of us that a small gesture can make a big difference.

From Bill, and from all of us at Stonington Power… thank you for making our day. ❤️

You guys are always asking, and now I’ve got one.

Your chance to own the Backyard Bandit, the Money Maker Pro, or whatever you want to call it.

This is a 2025 Gravely Pro-Stance 36 that was originally sold new and has now been traded back in with just 7.5 hours on the meter. That’s right — 7.5 hours. This machine is barely broken in and about as close to new as you can get without paying new-machine prices.

Powered by the legendary Kawasaki engine and backed by the Gravely name, this stand-on mower is built for speed, productivity, and making money. Whether you’re a homeowner with a lot of grass or a landscaper looking to add another machine to the fleet, this one is ready to go to work today.

✅ Only 7.5 hours
✅ Kawasaki power
✅ 36” commercial deck
✅ Stand-on productivity
✅ Save a hefty chunk of change off the cost of a new one

And here’s the best part — we can get you financed at cash price with just a $99 application fee. Yep, nobody else is doing that. We are.

Stop in and check it out before somebody else takes it home.

For a bunch of people who “just fix lawn mowers,” today was a pretty good reminder that there’s a lot more to this place than lawn mowers.

I think we had something like 45 phone calls before 9:30 this morning. From there it was nonstop. Customers coming in, equipment arriving, parts showing up, pickups going out, deliveries coming back, and somehow everyone needing something at exactly the same time.

If we’re being honest, there was some bad mixed in there today. That’s part of life and part of running a business.

But there was a lot of good, too.

Our former employee Marco, who’s now building a successful business of his own, showed up with pizza for the crew. Thanks, Marco. We appreciate it, especially the Soupy’s pizza.

About 20 minutes later, another pizza delivery showed up from my co-host in the radio world, Joe. Thanks, Joe. And yes, we ate every bit of it, so it definitely didn’t go to waste.

Then Rob stopped by with a round of iced coffees. That was appreciated too and didn’t go unnoticed.

The biggest highlight, though, was the team.

Everyone showed up, got after it, and found a way to make it work. No drama. No excuses. Just people doing their jobs and helping each other get through another crazy day.

We even had a visit from the HR department. Mandi stopped by for the first time this week for a solid ten minutes and brought our newest little guy, Beckett, with her. It’s amazing how much a quick visit can change the mood of an entire day.

And then there’s Will, our Service Manager.

For a guy who spends all day having work order after work order thrown at him, along with a constant stream of “Hey, can you make sure this gets done today?” he somehow always finds a way to keep everything organized and moving forward. At the end of the day, the work is done, the shop is clean, and things are ready for tomorrow.

So yeah, there are days that feel overwhelming when you’re in the middle of them.

But then you look around.

Good friends dropping off lunch.

Coffee showing up when you need it most.

A crew that cares.

A visit from your wife and son.

Customers who trust you with their equipment.

And you realize something.

Like my Uncle Dennis always used to say:

“It’s not a bad life.”

And he was right.

Not even close.
