Today is World Environment Day, and this year's theme is about climate change. One of the gases most frequently discussed together with climate change is carbon dioxide, CO2. ☁️Application of the Month: Fence-line Monitoring☁️

Fence-line monitoring is a method used to track air pollution around the boundaries of industrial sites. By placing sensors or open-path monitors along the site's perimeter, this system detects and measures airborne gases and emissions in real time. It helps identify leaks or accidental releases before they spread into nearby communities, ensuring safer operations and regulatory compliance.

That's a wrap! A big thank you to all participants who attended this year's OPSIS Technical training at our headquarters in Furulund, Sweden, this week.

☁️Application of the Month: Raw Gas Monitoring☁️

To achieve effective emissions monitoring, accurate, real-time data are needed. This is especially important in demanding conditions, such as in raw gas where high temperatures and dust levels exists. By continuously monitoring gas compounds in the flue gas, operators can optimise their processes and ensure compliance with national and international environmental standards and regulations. This, in turn, leads to reduced operating costs and improved performance.

Light might seem obvious. There are light sources, our surroundings reflect and absorb light, and we see our surroundings with the help of light. Up to this point, there’s not much to think about. But it’s also possible to measure things using light, such as gas concentrations.
