For us, the ocean is more than just where we work. It’s where we find adventure, freedom, and some of life’s best moments.

That’s why caring for the marine environment is something we take seriously. We want future generations to be able to enjoy the same oceans that we love today.

This is something we carry into our everyday work. We give composite materials a second life by reusing them in our production, and 80% of our waste is recycled, with the remainder put to good use as energy. And we’re always finding new ways to do even better.

Happy World Oceans Day! And here’s to keeping our oceans healthy for years to come.

Here are a few photos from Sailing on The schedule and the children’s latest visit earlier this week, when they had the chance to explore a military vessel and a pilot boat up close.

Through Sailing on the Schedule, children at Marstrand Primary School get the opportunity to step out of the classroom and onto the water a few days each semester, where they learn about sailing, boating and safety at sea. The programme includes children aged 6–13 and is made possible through the collaboration between Marstrands Segelsällskap, Marstrand School and Rutgerson.

For us, this is about opening the sea to more children, creating real experiences, and inspiring the next generation through life on the water.

As summer holiday begins next week, we wish all the children plenty of sunshine, swimming, boating and unforgettable summer days by the sea.

One of the best things about turning 50 is celebrating with friends around the world. This special birthday greeting comes from ullmansails_southafrica, who took the time to record a Happy Birthday message in no less than three of South Africa's official languages. A big thank you to the team at Ullman sails for this thoughtful gesture and for being part of the Rutgerson journey.

Not every day brings perfect sailing conditions at the local sailing school MSS — but when the wind doesn’t cooperate, there’s still plenty to learn. Sometimes knot practice is just as important as time on the water.

So… do you know which knot they’re trying to tie in the picture? ⛵🪢

And a special thank you to LIROS for the ropes used in the sailing school.

Proud to support the next generation of sailors.

We’re pleased to be partnering with the sailonbamboo_ project with Marine and François! We’ll be supplying them with deck hardware for their SoBoo 650 vessel and its unique bamboo plywood construction and we couldn’t be more excited.

Bamboo is a fantastic material to build with – sustainable and environmentally friendly as well as being exceptionally strong, durable and on average twice as resistant as traditional wood. As sustainability and innovation are core principles of everything we do, we’re proud to be supporting the sailonbamboo_ adventure!

After a weekend of tough racing at Marstrand Big Boat Race, we want to highlight a project that is even closer to our hearts. 💙⛵️

Tomorrow, it’s time once again for Sailing on the Schedule, when the students of Marstrand School head out on the water — this time aboard the C55s togheter with marstrands segelsällskap.

At Rutgerson, we are proud to support not only major sailing events, but also initiatives that help introduce the next generation to life at sea. For us, this is about more than sailing. It is about giving children the opportunity to experience the water, learn about safety at sea, and build confidence in the environment that surrounds them here in Marstrand.

We wish all students a fantastic day on the water tomorrow!
