Progress update on one of our current new builds in Wellington.

The team has completed the base build, with the Level 1 and Level 2 structural steel now in place.

We’re around 70% of the way through this 650-tonne project, with a big push ahead to complete the steelwork before Christmas.

This has been a challenging project that has tested the skills and capability of our team.

I’m proud to say they’ve risen to the challenge and continue to deliver.

The Petone Engineering team has just completed this new warehouse on Wellington's CentrePort wharf.

Well done to Jefferson and his team for once again delivering the project ahead of schedule.

It's also great to see CentrePort continuing to invest in expanding its wharf facilities.

That investment is a positive sign for the future of shipping and freight through our capital city, and we're proud to have played a part in delivering another important piece of infrastructure.

The Petone Engineering team has recently completed the seismic strengthening of Begonia House, located within the Wellington Botanic Garden.

Working alongside the team at LT McGuinness, we helped strengthen this historic building, ensuring it can continue to be safely enjoyed by future generations while preserving an important part of Wellington's heritage.

Full credit to Jefferson and his team for another job well done.

Your professionalism and attention to detail continue to set a high standard.

Congratulations to Petone Rugby on the amazing success for the 2026 season. Petone Engineering are proud to be a sponsor of the club. A fantastic effort to win all three grades. And best of luck for the Petone Colts and 2nd Division team still in the playoffs.

The steel just keeps getting bigger.

Our recent projects have taken the handling demands at Petone Engineering to another level—and the team wouldn't have it any other way.

Heavier lifts, more welding, and increasingly complex rigging all bring new challenges. It's the opportunity to tackle more demanding work, develop new skills, and deliver projects safely and efficiently that keeps our team motivated.

Install is well underway on our latest Wellington project.

At over 650 tonnes of structural steel, this project is keeping the Petone Engineering team busy both in the workshop and on site.

With several major projects secured and more in the pipeline, we are continuing to expand our capability and capacity across the business.

Another strengthening project nearing completion.

The Christmas break always brings time-critical programmes, with work needing to be finished before school doors reopen. Over the past two months, our team has delivered a demanding schedule on the Brook Block at Wellington Girls’ College.

Crown Infrastructure have shared a great overview of the project and the work involved.

Upgrading and strengthening education facilities is important work. It protects existing assets and ensures they’re ready for the next generation.

Proud of the effort our team put in to get this across the line.

Strengthening Wellington’s key assets — Ahead of Schedule.

Here are a few shots of the Petone Engineering team hard at work strengthening the Old Children’s Hospital in Wellington for Hawkins.

Our crew has powered through Phase 1 — finishing four weeks ahead of schedule, a fantastic achievement that reflects the commitment and coordination of our project management and site teams.
