Balancing his dual role, he works across laboratory operations and metals and assembly processes, focusing on optimising line speeds, improving procedures and ensuring the health and safety of his team and the factory.

In his 3 years at Nexans, Thomas has focused on laying the foundations for a high-performing, optimised team - creating the conditions for greater efficiency and future growth.

Meet Matthew Lord, our Warehouse Manager Christchurch and Logistics at Nexans New Zealand!

With more than 3 years at Nexans, Matt stepped into the Logistics Manager – New Zealand role last year, taking on a broader role focused on people, performance and continuous improvement. From managing the Christchurch warehouse team and championing Health & Safety, to working closely with transport partners and using data to improve delivery efficiency, Matt is always looking for smarter ways to work.

For Matt, great leadership starts with people. He believes that when he succeeds, his team succeeds, and is passionate about empowering his team, recognising their contributions and celebrating success together.

Based in Christchurch and working closely with teams across New Zealand, Matt also sees collaboration as an opportunity to connect with people across the wider business.
