Two days. One classic line.

Montane athlete Nici Burk combined a paraglider approach with an alpine mission on the Aiguille Verte — flying from Aiguille du Midi to the Refuge du Couvercle, then skinning up the Talèfre Glacier the next morning for an early start on the Whymper Couloir.

A short ridge to the summit, a bit of waiting for good firn below, then smooth turns back to the hut — and instead of the long way out, a final flight down to the valley, finished with a well-earned bakery stop 🏔️🥐

A dream line across the Mischabel range — sharp, exposed, and unmistakable from the valley below. 🏔️

Nici & Nikolas set out to traverse Täschhorn and Dom, two giants of the Alps.

Day 1: From Täschalp, the route climbed over Alphubel — the first 4000m peak of the journey — before downclimbing its north ridge to reach the tiny Mischabel Bivouac. A night spent shoulder to shoulder with other mountaineers, preparing for what lay ahead.

Day 2: The alarm before dawn, clouds drifting across the ridge. At times the mountains disappeared completely, only to reappear as the weather opened. From the summit of Täschhorn, the entire traverse stretched before them: long, exposed, and demanding. The ridge gave everything — snow lingering in the shadows, loose rock in places, the wind never far away. Step by step, they moved along until the summit of Dom came into view.
Too windy to fly from the top, the paragliders stayed on their backs all the way through the descent. Only below the Domhütte did the chance finally come — one launch, and hours of walking traded for minutes of flight.
