Following on for the reccy Ken and Ket did earlier in October - They took Boffa Miskell and Marlborough District Council to Cat Creek to show them the extent of the wilding pine infestation and make a plan to start operations.

SUNDAY 13TH SEPT - The weather really turned it on for our volunteers we took to an area around the Blowhard ridge up the Leatham.

Great crew X Hard yakka = We managed to knock out 4,465 wilding pines: pulling, chopping and the larger pines drill & fill.

That particular area was a real grind - it was one of the most mentally challenging volunteer days we have experienced due to how think and large the wilding pines were.

Thank you all for hanging in there!
