मधेश प्रदेश सरकार अन्तर्गत ऊर्जा, सिंचाइ तथा खानेपानी मन्त्रालय र एसएनभी नेपाल सँगको साझेदारीमा स्कलर्स कन्सल्ट प्रा.लि. र आईडिएस नेपालले संयुक्त रुपमा क्षमता विकास कार्यको सहजीकरण गरेको हो ।

Scholars Consult Pvt. Ltd., in consortium with Niyatra Consult Pvt. Ltd., is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Inception Workshop for the Consulting Assignment on Updating and Developing the National Water Supply Design Guidelines. The workshop was conducted under the leadership of the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management (DWSSM) and with financial support from UNICEF Nepal and Oxfam in Nepal.

The updated guidelines will be climate-resilient, GEDSI-integrated, user-friendly, and prepared using a modular approach. Based on initial consultations, the following 13 modules will be developed, supported by annexes containing drawings and quantity estimates of major water supply components:

M1 – Policy, Principles, and Design Considerations
M2 – Water Source Conservation
M3 – Surface Intake and Water Conveyance
M4 – Groundwater
M5 – Water Treatment Systems
M6 – Reservoirs and Distribution Networks
M7 – Valves, Fittings, and Appurtenances
M8 – Electromechanical and Instrumentation
M9 – Financial and Economic Analysis
M10 – Specifications
M11 – Rate Analysis Norms
M12 – Environmental and Social Safeguards
M13 – Operation and Maintenance

We look forward to delivering comprehensive and future-ready design guidelines for Nepal’s water supply sector.

We have prepared a comprehensive Surface Water Drainage Management Master Plan for USAID Tayar Nepal, resulting from a detailed engineering survey. This survey utilized precise equipment, including DGPS, to assess existing drainage systems and topography. It includes a thorough hydrological analysis and modeling.

The document outlines a phased plan for surface water drainage management in Surkhet Valley over the next 20 years. It includes detailed drawings of all necessary structures and estimates the total budget required for the next 20 years, taking into account life cycle costs to address the issue of flooding in Surkhet during the rainy season. Additionally, we developed a detailed project report (DPR) for selected sections.

We are encountering similar problems in Kathmandu during the rainy season. If any development partners are interested in funding similar projects in Kathmandu, Scholars Consult is open to collaboration in any form.

खानेपानी तथा ढल व्यवस्थापन विभागले राष्ट्रिय खानेपानी डिजाइन निर्देशिका (12 Volume) ३५ बर्ष पछि संशोधनको प्रक्रिया सुरु गरेको छ ।

समुदायमा आधारित खानेपानी अयोजनाहरुको डिजाइन, निर्माण र मर्मत सम्भारको लागि सन् १९९० मा युनिसेफको सहयोगमा तत्कालीन खानेपानी तथा ढल निकास विभागले राष्ट्रिय खानेपानी डिजाईन निर्देशिका तयार पारेको थियो ।

खानेपानी तथा ढल व्यवस्थापन विभागको अगुवाईमा युनिसेफ नेपाल र अक्सफार्म नेपालको सहयोगमा Scholars Consult Pvt. Ltd. र Niyatra Consult Pvt. Ltd. को सहजीकरणमा डिजाइन गाईडलाइन संशोधनको प्रक्रिया सुरु गरिएको हो ।🙏
