British Airways’ inaugural flight from London Gatwick to Colombo touched down in Sri Lanka on 23 October 2026, marking the airline’s return after more than a decade and a new chapter in connectivity between the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka. ✈️🇬🇧🇱🇰

Advantis Aviation Services of the Hayleys Group, the General Sales Agent (GSA) for British Airways in Sri Lanka, was delighted to be part of this milestone occasion.

The inaugural flight was celebrated with a warm welcome, traditional Sri Lankan hospitality, and a special cake-cutting ceremony, marking the beginning of three weekly connections between Gatwick and Colombo.
