2/3 | Rethinking the rooftop.

Our three-part mini-series on the redevelopment of the Sestri Ponente school complex continues.

How can a school building extend beyond the classroom and become a genuine resource for the entire neighborhood?
One of the central ambitions of this intervention was rethinking the rooftop, transforming an ordinary surface into an active hub for sport, recreation, and social connection.

Balancing structural innovation, environmental integration, and open access, this space represents the real standout feature of the whole project.

In this second episode, Stefano Falcioni, Renco Deputy Project Manager, takes us to the roof to reveal how this idea took shape.

In the next and final chapter, we will focus on the people and the day-to-day work behind the construction site.

Il 9 ottobre, a Macerata, la nostra collega l'ing. ha ricevuto il Premio Donna Cultura 2026, un riconoscimento promosso dall'Associazione Donna Cultura Marche, in collaborazione con Confindustria Macerata, per valorizzare il contributo delle donne al mondo del lavoro, dell'impresa e della cultura.

Durante la cerimonia, Eleonora ha raccontato l'importanza di mettersi in gioco, costruire il proprio percorso con coraggio e determinazione e incoraggiare le nuove generazioni ad avvicinarsi alle discipline tecniche e ingegneristiche.

Un riconoscimento che siamo felici di condividere e un'occasione per celebrare il valore delle persone che fanno parte della nostra squadra.

Per il quinto anno consecutivo Renco è tra le eccellenze italiane della sostenibilità: nella sesta edizione del Sustainability Award 2026, promosso da Group, siamo stati inseriti nelle classifiche Top 100 Excellence e Top 100 Finance.

Un percorso costruito nel tempo: presenti nella Top 100 Excellence dal 2022, nel 2023 ci siamo aggiudicati il premio di categoria Social tra le aziende con fatturato superiore a 250 milioni di euro e, dal 2024, ci confermiamo ogni anno anche nella classifica dedicata alla finanza integrata.

Per noi è la conferma di un impegno costante, in Italia e nei Paesi in cui operiamo, che integra la sostenibilità nel nostro modo di fare impresa e richiede un miglioramento continuo. Un grazie a tutti i colleghi che lo rendono possibile ogni giorno.

Working within high-density urban environments, such as those in Maputo, requires a constant balance between ex*****on efficiency and protecting resident safety. Minimizing disruption to the community is not just a logistical necessity, but a core element of jobsite risk management.

On site, work moves forward through parallel operations. As excavators carve out the trenches, mobile cranes immediately install the precast box culverts while crews complete the backfilling—a assembly-line process designed to minimize the duration of open construction zones.
