Project Spotlight: St Mark’s Square, Bromley
While façade remediation is primarily driven by fire safety, a major project at St Mark’s Square highlights the added value of investing in solutions that also deliver long-term durability and all-round protection.
The high-rise residential buildings required remediation works to replace combustible cladding and significantly improve the overall fire performance of the building envelope. The project was led by RED Construction, a specialist in complex urban remediation schemes.
A key component of the upgraded façade system was Stamisol Safe One, an award-winning breather membrane selected for its exceptional combination of fire safety and durability:
• Class A2-s1, d0 (limited-combustible) fire rating, exceeding regulatory requirements for breather membranes on high-rise residential buildings
• UV Stability independently tested for up to 5,000 hours
• W1-rated watertightness, protecting against wind-driven rain
• Designed for longevity to maintain performance behind modern façade systems over time
Paul Harrison, Account Manager at ITP, commented:
“Stamisol Safe One’s all-round performance has made it a popular choice for projects like St Mark’s Square– not only is it seen as an investment in enhanced fire safety, but also an investment in long-term durability and protection for the condition of the building envelope.”
