Chalk quarry flint vs field flint — the difference matters.

CHALK QUARRY FLINT — Extracted from chalk deposits. Grey-white outside, dark blue-black when knapped. The classic material used in traditional flintwork across the South of England.

FIELD FLINT — Collected from agricultural land. Warmer tones — yellows, browns and earthy greys. More varied in shape. Better suited to rural projects where a less uniform finish is preferred.

Both available whole or knapped. We'll point you in the right direction.
