Back to reality 👋🚐

After a few days away in Germany for Abbie's 30th birthday, Reece is back and ready for a busy June!

May certainly kept us on our toes, with 156 jobs completed across servicing, repairs, call-outs and customer visits 🔧🚚

The sunshine was a welcome bonus, but it was a busy month from start to finish - and June is already looking much the same.

We've also got something exciting to share in the next few days...keep your eyes peeled for the reveal of our newly sign-written van 👀🚐

It's safe to say you'll spot us coming!

Two breakdowns attended at Mack in Southampton this month 🔧

One issue was a faulty emergency stop switch on a Skyjack scissor lift - diagnosed, part sourced locally, and back up and running the very same day.

The second was a fuse panel fault on a Still RX20-16C, traced and diagnosed to help get things moving again.

Breakdowns are never ideal, especially when equipment is needed day-to-day, so quick response and proper fault finding makes all the difference.

Reece’s cat decided our Agate MHE business cards looked more like a snack than marketing material.

Safe to say quality control has now been fully approved by management 👀

Safe to say this CAT EP50N won’t be sitting still for long 🚛

Recently supplied to Allflow Pumps & Pump Systems over in Waterlooville, this truck is now ready to get to work.

Spec’d up with a part cab (front, top & rear screens), container spec 4400mm triplex mast, 1500mm forks, and side shift, it was built to suit exactly what was needed on site.

One thing we’ve learnt is that no two businesses are the same - and the “right forklift” really depends on the work it’s going into. That’s why we always try to keep things straightforward and help customers find equipment that genuinely works for them, rather than just pushing whatever’s available.

Two birthdays celebrated recently at Agate MHE!

Not only has Agate MHE turned 3, but it was also our founder Reece’s birthday 👏

Over the last few years, there have been plenty of early starts, long days, miles on the road, and the occasional “will everything actually fit in the van?” moment 🚐

Like a lot of small business owners will understand, it’s easy to just keep working and let birthdays pass by like any other day.

But for once, Reece did actually take a day off last week to celebrate - with a trip to Diddly Squat Farm Shop while the weather was on its best behaviour ☀️

And he may or may not have spotted the main man himself 👀

Three years into building Agate MHE, things look very different these days… but the hard work behind it hasn’t changed much.

(There was probably cake somewhere in between too 🎂)

This Cat® EP35Q recently delivered to Rawside Furniture replaces an older diesel truck - but for us, it represents more than just another job.

Richard and the team at Rawside were one of the very first customers. From those early days to now, it's been great to support the business as it's grown - and to still be working together today 🙌

It’s been a big journey so far, and recently we’ve launched a brand new website to make it even easier to see what we do and get in touch 💻

As we step into May, Reece and the team at Agate MHE want to say a genuine thank you for the continued support 🙌

It’s been another busy few weeks on the road and out on site - plenty of servicing, breakdown support, and miles covered in between.

One of the lighter moments recently came just after Easter, when Reece left a chocolate egg in the van thinking it would be fine for the day… safe to say it didn’t survive the warmer weather! ☀️

Looking ahead, there’s a bit more to celebrate this month, including Reece’s birthday and Agate MHE’s company anniversary.

From breakdown callouts to planned servicing, and everything in between - we use Service Geeni to keep jobs, engineers, and fleet management all in one place.

It just helps us stay organised day to day, so we can see what’s going on, stay ahead of the work, and make sure nothing gets missed.

When everything’s tracked properly, things just run smoother - both in the workshop and out on site 🚚
