A navara 3.0 v6 owned by a good friend of ours Phil smith over at C P SMITH AGRI , previously orginally shotblasted and painted by us many years back unfortunately the chassis has fatigued with constant towing of loads close to the legal limit , being a v6 with an automatic gearbox these have so much torque and power when towing heavy loads they will tear themselves apart coupled with this being fitted with heavy duty springs this had eventually sustained a crack on the original chassis but there was no rust or rot present , the owner has always kept the vehicle washed and waxed, so to tackle to issue we have fitted a new chassis supplied by our good friend Matt J. Belfield Matt J. Belfield he fabricates and supplies navara chassis using thick guage box section, we only use chassis from him and we recommend a chassis option if it's more viable then patching and welding a rotten vehicle is this case stregnth was the key factor we were chasing.
As usual in the A&M treatment all brackets and fixings have either been transferred over or made new and the truck has been washed, degreased, fully shotblasted front to back, a base coat and top coat semi gloss sealer paint applied this is now strong, safe and a perfect towing vehicle for the future.
As for A&M this will now be the last pickup we treat as we are no longer undertaking these jobs ,the 4x4 vehicles has always been a sideline as at A&M we are all 4x4 owners of some sort and we are very passionate about saving a 4x4'sfrom the scrap yard or a breakers yard but unfortunately they are increasingly taking away too much time from our day to day line of work and with demand increasing in that department we a turning our focus more , we hope you have enjoyed our posts and our work and we thank you for the following and likes.
From us all the best A&M
