Happy first of the month! We're kicking it off by testing a reel handling and ejector system.

This setup has been built for a pharmaceutical customer who needed a safer and more efficient way to handle reels, reducing manual handling within production.

Key features include:
• Powered lifting, rotation and ejection for reels up to 150kg.
• Powered ejection to help transfer reels more efficiently.
• Stainless steel construction suited to cleanroom environments.
• Adjustable tooling to suit different reel sizes.
• Quick release compatibility with Packline Compac lifting machines.

Putting this system into use will improve workflow and maintain the hygiene standards required within pharmaceutical production, while also giving our customer a safer and more practical way to handle reels.

In 2024/25, around 𝟱𝟭𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 workers had work related musculoskeletal disorders, with 43% reporting back injuries, according to the Health and Safety Executive, and a lot of this comes from repeated lifting and handling rather than one off incidents.
