๐๐ผ๐ฏ ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฒ: Full time, permanent
Weโre looking for someone with a strong engineering background, experience in a manufacturing environment and good 3D CAD skills, particularly SolidWorks and Fusion. This role would suit someone with some experience in engineering design using SolidWorks, whoโs looking for a varied, hands on position.
Youโll be designing specialised, bespoke stainless steel reel and drum lifting equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries, alongside supporting production, testing existing designs and contributing to new product development.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐ฑ๐ฒ:
โข Concept and detail design for new and bespoke products.
โข 3D CAD modelling and detailed part drawings using SolidWorks.
โข Product testing and validation, including manual calculations and FEA analysis.
โข Producing risk assessments, FMEA, technical files and other engineering documentation.
โข Creating user manuals and technical documents using Adobe InDesign.
โข Liaising with customers and suppliers on technical requirements and design queries.
โข Supporting the technical sales team with drawings and design input.
โข Maintaining and improving existing product designs, including change notes and ECNR documentation.
โข Supporting production with design updates to improve manufacturing and reduce costs.
โข Assisting with fault diagnosis and design improvements.
โข Organising and maintaining design files and digital libraries.
โข Preparing shipping crate designs and supporting documentation.
โข Producing clear GA drawings using customer supplied samples.
โข Evaluating product configurations for safety and compliance.
โข Taking part in customer visits and remote meetings to support sales and project scoping.
๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฒโ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐น๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ:
โข Qualification in Technical Design or Mechanical Engineering.
โข Experience with SolidWorks, with knowledge of Fusion desirable.
โข Experience working in a manufacturing engineering environment.
โข Strong engineering knowledge and technical skills.
๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ:
โข Initial training and ongoing development.
โข 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
โข Free on site parking.
โข Monday to Thursday: 8:45am to 5pm.
โข Friday: 8:30am to 3:30pm.
