The Maize is very variable... some good fields... some fields with patchy germination as some established in the dry and some waited a couple of weeks for the rain and is now getting going. This is Weston field which is already knee high (well, for me but I'm short 😂). We've plenty of time for the rest to get knee high by the fourth of July and are currently refreshing the Field of Dreams signs for the fields near a footpath. Watch this space...

I wonder how many times I'll hear this song before it stops bringing tears to my eyes? Decided to have another watch just now and it got me again. Such amazing words and those beautiful voices carrying such strength with them.

Daring to hope.

I am sure I am not the only farmer feeling this right now.

So grateful to the choir and to the public whose support is so vital.

So now we need to take this harmony forwards. With love and hope. And a whole lot of fantastically talented people.

And the Hawkstone Farmers Choir have done it!!! We've never watched BGT before and may never watch it again but seeing this lot win is utterly epic. Feeling all warm and fuzzy for these tuneful farmers out there raising awareness and our spirits. They did an amazing job. And we learnt how to vote on our smartphones. Trailblazers all around.

Oh and some great local walkers rescued a sheep who had got stuck in a trough a bit earlier this evening. So yeah, feeling really quite positive today.

The beans are getting thirsty....
