As factory automation evolves through advances in IoT and AI technologies, cybersecurity threats are becoming increasingly significant. To address these challenges, SMC uses robust, group-wide cybersecurity measures.

We've recently strengthened those measures with the addition of cybersecurity certification in accordance with IEC 62443-4-1:2018 from TÜV SÜD - an internationally recognised third-party certification body headquartered in Munich, Germany.

IEC 62443-4-1:2018 is an internationally recognised standard for secure product development, providing an independent assessment of the processes used to manage cybersecurity throughout the product development lifecycle.

The certification confirms that SMC effectively manages product security throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
