Hi All!
You may or may not know that im taking part in the London Marathon this year in aid of St Lukes Hospice in memory of my mum Allison Jane Galer.
Its something that has been on the bucket list for a few years now.
I’ve applied a few times through the ballot and a couple of times with St Lukes but have been unsuccessful. The same applied when i applied last year, but early December i received a call from St Lukes saying a place had come up and would i still be interested.
After changing my pants and lifting my shirt to check the size of my belly i realised i may not get this chance again and of course have the opportunity to raise funds for a charity that is very close to mine and my familys hearts.
How do i get from park run plodder to marathon finisher in 5 months? Time will tell, but im working hard and appreciate all the support so far.
