METAL HANDRAIL ON GLASS BALUSTRADE

Metal handrail is a perfect finishing touch to a glass balustrade in any modern interior, combining safety and an elegant, streamlined look.

Made to order by Q-metals using a stainless-steel slotted tube profile – fabricated to size and powder-coated for a premium look and durability. The handrail was affixed to the stairs’ stringer and installed on a glass balustrade with a rubber gasket to ensure a perfect fit.

BESPOKE BALUSTRADE WITH CUSTOM-MADE METAL SPINDLES

Bespoke metalwork beautifully complements the wooden elements of this modern staircase spanning 4 levels of a grand newly-built house in the St John’s Wood area of London.

The balustrade spindles play the main decorative role. They were custom-made by Q-metals to the architect’s specifications using an in-house technique that ensures an elegant and smooth end effect. All metal elements were powder-coated in anodic bronze to harmonise with the warm wooden finishes. High-precision measurements were made by Q-metals using a Leica 3D scanner as part of the site survey.

VICTORIAN-STYLE RAILINGS

You can count on Q-metals’ expertise in fabricating high-standard, elegant metal elements to match the style of a listed building. We use 3-D modelling to better manage the design, manufacturing and installation process.

This project combines modern technology and materials with the style of a Victorian terraced house in Hackney, East London. The decorative SG iron railheads of this fence give the traditional cast-iron look and are welded onto sleek mild-steel railings – all covered with hot-zinc spray powder coating for corrosion protection, durability and polished end-effect.
